cow division

A quarter of a Dexter, sans bones other than in the rib roast, appears to be near as damnit 60lb. That's fillet, sirloin, rump, top roast, top rump roast, silverside, rib roast, shin and a whole load of minced Other Bits. £170 the lot, which strikes me as excellent value for money. We told Steve he should charge more while we were up there :)

Mostly enfreezered now, apart from 3lb of shin that will be made into some variety of stew/chilli/casserole in the next few days, and the fillet, which [livejournal.com profile] ramtops will be making into Stroganoff tonight. Yum.

Off to the gym now for preventative maintenance.
