update on Pteppic

Further to this, Ptep's still not eating (I rang the vet this morning). He has started grooming himself again and seems generally brighter though.

OTOH, they have no idea why (beyond Siamese orneryness) he is refusing food - it's been at least 3 days, and likely more since he's eaten.

They're taking more blood to compare with the first lot and do more tests; red and white cellcounts and sending some away for FIP, feline leukemia and feline AIDS tests. If he has any of the latter three, we can really only say goodbye to him... :(

We'll go and see him and talk to the vet in person tonight.

WTF have we done to deserve this?

Huge amounts of finger (and paw) crossing here for you.

I'm sorry to hear this after your recent loss. Love to you both and hopefully you will be able to give us good news later.

FWIW, feline AIDS doesn't have to be goodbye. Our cat Tommy was diagnosed some years ago, and he's still going strong, if a little slower than most other cats his age (he's around ten).

Am so sorry to hear about all this. Hope Pteppic is okay, and that the vet can give you some answers to your questions.
