Have I ever mentioned that I hate censorship?

Looking at Was tun, wenn's brennt?, I note that its running time is:

German edition - 101 minutes
American edition - 101 minutes
UK edition - 97 minutes

Curious that, if Amazon are to be believed, only the German print comes with a dubbed English soundtrack - I prefer subtitles in any case, but it seems odd.

Probably Not Censorship?

PAL-coded video runs 4% quicker than the NTSC-coded version -- a speed-up from the original 24 frames per second (film) to 25 frames per second (PAL video). NTSC uses 30 frames per second, so a technique known as 3/2 pull-down is used to correct the playback speed. The difference in playing times is about 4%, so I suspect that this is the answer.

But Germany uses PAL, no?
