sweetest babbie kitten

I was just dismembering the G4 iMac to swap in a new DASD and upper 512MB, as you do, when Littlest Ning came in through the patio door batting a newly hatched baby bird between her delicate little paws. The thing was already pretty battered, so there was little I could do but shove Lietha out of the front door to get her away from it, and break the poor little sod's neck. So I did.

With a sigh, I returned to my golem surgery (that iMac is called dorfl).

Then, but a few minutes later, Lietha came trotting in again, having circled round the terrace to the back, with another unfortunate birdling in her mouth and a most fetching bloodstain on her leg. As far as I could tell once she started tossing it around, this one was already dead; it certainly was by the time I grabbed and disposed of it.

Perhaps this is a division of labour: Lilith does the rodents, Lietha the baby birds. Whatever. They're once again justifying their alternate names of Chloe and Radcliffe; it's only a matter of time before they find a toad to put in the liquidiser...

oooh! Another person that actually uses DASD as a term! IBM has a lot to answer for.
