The frantic squeaking
ramtops
and I heard in the bedroom last night turns out, on morning investigation under the bed, to have been a rat.
It's now interred in a plastic bag outside awaiting final disposal.
And, no, I didn't weigh this one.

Well. Dead rat infinitely preferable to live, no? Assuming the cats gave it it's quietus.
(and except for the wobbly purple bits on the rug, admittedly)

Indeed :)
They don't seem to like rat. Mice, voles and birds tend to get dismembered; rats are just lightly killed and left.
