The frantic squeaking ramtops and I heard in the bedroom last night turns out, on morning investigation under the bed, to have been a rat.

It's now interred in a plastic bag outside awaiting final disposal.

And, no, I didn't weigh this one.

Well. Dead rat infinitely preferable to live, no? Assuming the cats gave it it's quietus.

They don't seem to like rat. Mice, voles and birds tend to get dismembered; rats are just lightly killed and left.
