I hate hardware
Jul. 8th, 2003 09:36 amBloody Xantia decided to dump its LHM on the road on my journey home last night. Or, to be more precise, onto something hot on the engine, then onto the road - it's always so nice to see smoke billowing out from under the bonnet when you're stopped in a traffic light queue.
Looked at first glance like a union has gone on the front active suspension ram sphere (this is an Activa; there are a lot of hydraulic spheres in the thing), but I await a damage report from Masters Autocare to whom the poor sick beast was delivered by the AA.
Still, at least things went critical at the Brissle end of the journey, and right outside a café in St Pauls, so I could have an espresso whilst waiting for the AA to arrive.
