dead cat bounce
Jul. 1st, 2004 11:08 pmWe've just been to see the Circomedia year end show at Bristol Old Vic. Thoroughly recommended: if you're in or around Bristol tomorrow or Saturday, see if you can get yourself tickets and go. We stopped for food at Renato's Trattoria after. Excellent grilled king prawns to start; trout on fettucini with shrimp for me and veal for
ramtops to follow. Entirely edible, but quite possibly too rich too late for a settled night.
Meanwhile, the mouse that escaped Aliss' clutches earlier tonight had found its way (or, more likely, had its way found) to under the bathroom scales while we were out. I failed to grab the poor little sod, so it ran over the edge of the landing and pretty much bounced into Lilith's jaws downstairs. As I type, she has it under our bed; I'm going to have to extract it, alive or in gobbets, before we retire. Which is nice.
