Meanwhile, it appears that over half of the population of this country wants to see what remains of justice and the rule of law abolished and 80% want the state to introduce ID cards, apparantly to keep the wogs out.

Ho hum.

In happier news, I've just registered at www.uktransplant.org.uk (thanks to nostalgia_lj for the link). I've carried a donor card for years, but this means that any bits of me worth saving are available even if I croak when I'm nekkid or something.

When a Govenment starts talking about getting in outside agencies to develop the ID card idea "so it won't be a cock up" one can almost guarantee the resulting fiasco will be hysterical.

I saw Blunkett on the TV this morning. He seems to really want the UK as a NuLab autocracy.
